HR 2894, Voter Confidence and
Increased Accessibility Act of 2009, was introduced in the 111th
Congress by Rep. Rush Holt of New Jersey. This bipartisan bill
will improve, strengthen, and protect elections in every state,
because it will:
- Protect every vote nationwide
with a voter-marked, voter-verified paper ballot
- Protect our elections with
random hand-counted audits
- Greatly improve accessibility
of voting for people with disabilities
- Ban wireless devices, internet
connections, uncertified software, and undisclosed software in
voting machines
- Provide full and fair federal
funding to cash-strapped counties and states to make these improvements
to our elections.
HR 2894 currently has 97
bipartisan cosponsors in Congress, and a
long and growing list of citizen supporters from many walks
of life throughout the United States.
